Caden turned 8 yesterday. The boys down the street brought her flowers and a balloon and the boys next door gave her a card with $8. Caden was absolutely thrilled that they thought of her!Last night, we had our first slumber party. Caden invited two friends from school, one friend that she has known since she was two, and Raegan. For dinner, they had pizza and cupcakes
that Caden and Raegan had decorated. Afterwards, Caden opened presents. Then they painted their nails with glow-in-the-dark nail polish and ran around in the dark, had pillow fights, watched movies, ate popcorn, played twister, and just had a ball. The girls started to wind down at about 10:30 pm, so they piled into Caden and Raegan's room
and I went up to read them a book. They were all asleep by 11:00, so I was pretty pleased - until they got up at 5 am! For breakfast, they had blue pancakes (per Caden's request) and bacon. All in all it went very well. The girls were well behaved and no one got home sick. And they included Raegan in everything which was really nice of them.Today we had the family party. It was a lot of fun and C
aden loved her gifts. She is really into her music, so she was very excited that she got an Ipod, along with an Ipod gift card, and a personalized journal to write her songs in. She also got some cool fingernail polish and lotions (can't wait to do a spa night!), the first set of Judy Moody books, some gift cards, money, and a croquet set which will be alot of fun for the whole family.Caden had a WONDERFUL birthday! Thanks to everyone who helped make it so special!
